Don't Be Shy; Wear a Bow Tie 1/6/15

What can I say, bow tie's are cool when hand tied. Now as far as clip-on bow ties, yes, they are easy to put on and easy to take off, but how would you feel telling people you hand  tied it yourself? Pretty good right?  The way I see it, bow ties should be messy and not perfect. My Message to you is stay away from clip-ons and learn how to tie a bow tie.

Bow ties were once known for losers or nerds wearing them at one point. Maybe you want to look at the glass half full like I do, James Bond would wear them. In the years  bow ties have been coming back slowly in guy's wardrobe and a first choice instead of a tie. Try wearing them to the office or casual drinks after work. You will be sure to stand out and grab some attention.

You probably have a lot of questions and I am here to help you.

1. Must the bow-tie be perfect?
Like I mentioned before, it doesn't have to be perfect and can be unbalanced because it looks more real and natural than a clip-on. Don't be afraid to tie the knot really tight. It lets the bows have a deeper dimple, which looks awesome!

2. Can a bowtie be casual?
If you rock a solid or printed texture bowtie you can achieve that casual look.

3. Do bowties have to have a matching pocketsquare?
Simple rule is no they do not have to have a matching pocket square, just be valiant with your choice of Pocket Square.
